Many carbon parts
"Not a gram too much" promises the italian manufacturer for the superleggera. To achieve this, a lot of carbon fiber components have been used: the rear window and side windows are made of lightweight polycarbonate. A window made of carbon fiber is integrated into the engine hood. Various body attachments are also made of carbon fiber. Carbon fiber components have also been used in the interior – including on the center console, the door trim and the shells of the sports seats. The cockpit and the seats are covered with the light alcantara instead of leather. Amenities such as air conditioning or power windows have not been omitted.
New front, sills and a rear diffuser
A body kit provides a sharper appearance of the italian: there is a new front bumper, which together with the v-shaped nose and the led daytime running lights for an aggressive look provides. Changes to the underbody, moldings on the side sills and a redesigned diffuser provide improved aerodynamics. The gallardo superleggera comes standard with a small rear wing – optionally available in a rougher version.
10 hp more
The superleggera is powered by the already familiar v10 engine with 5.2 liters of displacement. Thanks to a revised engine management system, the engineers have managed to squeeze out an additional ten horsepower, so that the engine now produces 570 hp. That corresponds to a power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kilograms per horsepower. The gallardo lp 570-4 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. After 6.8 seconds, the 200-km. Only at 325 km.
